Rewards & Participation Policy

1. Program overview

PerkTrek LLC operates a platform for discovering participating locations, recording check-ins, tracking trails, and facilitating rewards supplied by participating businesses. This is a working policy draft requiring legal and operational review before it becomes effective.

2. Eligibility

Participation is for people who are at least 18 years old. The account flow asks for an age acknowledgment and does not collect a date of birth. The acknowledgment is not independent age verification.

3. Participating locations

Trails may list businesses and locations that participate in the program. A business or location may change its hours, availability, offers, or participation. Check current information and contact the business directly about its services and operating status.

4. Valid check-ins

A check-in should represent a genuine eligible visit to a participating location through the available PerkTrek check-in method. The intended rule is one eligible stamp per location per 24-hour period. The current code has not been verified to enforce that rule and appears to block subsequent check-ins after any earlier check-in at the location. This gap must be fixed and tested before the 24-hour rule is presented as reliably enforced.

5. Digital stamps

Stamps reflect activity recorded by PerkTrek. They are not cash, transferable value, or a guarantee of a reward. PerkTrek may review records and correct or invalidate participation that is inaccurate, duplicated, or fraudulent, subject to applicable law.

6. Trail completion requirements

Each trail has its own displayed locations and required number of stamps. Users must meet the published requirements for the relevant trail. Trail configuration can change; the progress calculation currently depends on application records and active trail data.

7. Reward eligibility

A user must meet the applicable published trail or passport requirements before claiming an eligible reward. Completing requirements does not guarantee that a reward will be available or accepted by a business. Reward availability and fulfillment depend on the participating business and the individual reward terms.

8. Participating business responsibility

Participating businesses supply the rewards and are responsible for their stated offers and redemption conditions. PerkTrek provides the platform and may coordinate with a business about a reported issue. The application code does not establish that businesses have a redemption dashboard or a particular verification tool.

9. Individual reward terms

Each reward should clearly disclose its eligibility, redemption conditions, limitations, and expiration before a user claims or redeems it. The published terms for that individual reward govern. If terms are missing or unclear, contact support@perktrek.com before relying on the offer. The current application does not demonstrate a complete individual reward-terms or expiration feature; this must be addressed before these terms are finalized.

10. Reward expiration

Expiration conditions are intended to be disclosed for each reward. PerkTrek's current reward creation flow does not show an expiration field, and automated expiration has not been verified. Do not interpret this draft as proof that expiration is recorded or automatically enforced. PerkTrek must ensure that any expiration is clearly disclosed and operationally supported before publication.

11. Redemption and verification

The current application can create and display a reward code after a claim. The code repository does not show a business redemption verification workflow or prove that a code can be securely validated at a participating location. Users should follow the individual reward's instructions and contact support if there is a problem. PerkTrek will review reported issues and coordinate with the business where appropriate, without guaranteeing a particular outcome.

12. Business withdrawal or closure

A business may leave the PerkTrek program or close. Any outstanding reward will be handled individually under the published terms that apply to that reward. PerkTrek may coordinate with the business and review a reported issue, but does not guarantee replacement, reimbursement, or that a business will honor rewards indefinitely.

13. Changes to trails

PerkTrek may change trail locations or requirements. For material changes, PerkTrek intends to provide reasonable notice and take reasonable steps to protect legitimate progress already earned. The current application does not demonstrate a complete notice or progress-protection process. This operational commitment must be implemented before the policy is approved.

14. Fraud and misuse

PerkTrek may review suspected inaccurate or fraudulent check-ins, progress, and reward claims. PerkTrek may invalidate affected participation or claims, subject to applicable law. The review process and any appeal procedure require operational definition; no particular result is guaranteed.

15. Reward disputes

Report a check-in or reward issue to support@perktrek.com. PerkTrek reviews reported issues and may coordinate with the participating business. There is no particular outcome, replacement, or reimbursement guaranteed by this draft, and no formal dispute resolution system is represented as currently implemented.
